The Full Shebang

A friend of mine made his proposal which I thought was very unique — definitely a lot of more work and thought put into anything I could ever come up with.

It started out as a dinner date at Venice Beach. The walk to the “restaurant” ended at a gondola ride. There was wine and cheese ready along with the short cruise.

As the evening got underway, the ride of the gondola led next to a helicopter ride for a scenic tour of the harbor and neighboring beach area.

In the excitement of the surprise helicopter ride, he proposed. And she said yes!

Will You Take Our Picture?

My fiancée and I went to the Minnesota Arboretum for a morning. While walking through the gardens, she saw a trellis and asked that I take her picture. I took one, then went around the trellis and asked the first passers-by to take a picture of both of us.

They took one picture, and I asked if they’d take one more. I bent over so they wouldn’t take the picture while I fished the ring out of my pocket. Once I had it, I turned and knelt and proposed.

Luckily, the strangers with my camera realized I wanted them to keep shooting photos, so we have our proposal on film, including the look on my wife’s face as she realized what I was doing. A very good day!
