A Blown Up Suprise…

My then-boyfriend knew how much I loved getting balloons whenever I go to restaurants (I’m a child at heart!).

After he and I got home one night from a fancy dinner he told me that he knew I was disappointed about not getting a balloon. Then, he led me into the living room where there were at least one hundred balloons on the floor.

He told me that I had to pop each one of them so that I could find a special surprise. In what was about my sixtieth balloon, there was a note inside that said “Will you marry me?” I turned around to find him on one knee with a ring box. I immediately started squealing and said yes!

All of my friends are jealous that their husbands/boyfriends were never that romantic!

A Journey Through Life…

I’m not currently engaged, but I have done a lot of thinking about how I would like to propose.

A lot of my plans aren’t necessarily in the realm of possibility, but one that I’m very fond of involves taking my girlfriend on cross-country trip, such as going to an amusement park or something on the other side of the country.  Along the way, I would make sure to stop at various places that I visited on vacation with my family as a child, and sort of tell stories about it.

Then, when we finally reached our destination, I would tell her that she’s seen the journey of my life up to this point, and would she like to go with me the rest of the way?  Then comes the ring.

Of course, I’ll try to make it more romantic at the time, but that’s my basic plan.
