A Puppy???

To me there seems a death of romance in a rock imbedded in a piece of metal.  It doesn’t really say commitment to me.  So what does say commitment? A puppy.

A puppy is something that you and your fiance can “raise” together, a furry friend who you can bond over.  It will take a lot of cooperation to train the puppy and keep him happy.  Owning a dog together sends the message that you want to spend your life with a woman better than a rock.

But if you still like the idea of a ring put it around the puppy’s neck on his collar.

A Special Day…

The first thing to remember is that your girlfriend is about to be (hopefuly) the most important person in your life and you have to make sure you make her feel like that.

Take her on a wild day out all expenses paid. Speak to her friends and rack your mind to find out her favourite things, what she likes write it all down in a list. Get yourself on google and search the things she likes along with keywords such as your home town and words such as event, activity or romantic. Make sure that you do at least one thing that you don’t like that much but you know that she’ll like. This will show you are willing to make compromises a big thing in the “M” word. Get a schedule made up thats got a bit of space in between activities and finish off with a romantic meal in either the place you had your first date or somewhere that is specal to you.  Ask her to marry you there!

Thats how I did mine and it worked out all good. First I asked to dress for fasionable walking that day. This is after I cooked her breakfast in bed and got a before 9am delivery of 6 stolen kisses (her favorite flowers) then took her out blindfolded to the local aquarium (deepest in Europe) because she had never been and loved pretty things. Then I followed up by taking her to the pub, the one we met in. We then went for a stroll on the seafront then to our favourite chinese restaurant. In a little cubby hole by the city centre. I cannot explain how hard it is to get an engagement ring in a fortune cookie but I managed it and she said yes in the end and we’ve been married for 2 years now and never been happier. All I can say is good luck and hope it all goes as well as mine did.
