Follow The Clues Proposal
When I proposed to my first wife, it was a unique experience that started with her heading to her car when she got off work…when she arrived at her car, there was a note on the steering wheel with directions to a dress shop in the local area where I had purchases a dress that she had looked at a few weeks ago. When she picked up her dress there was another note that was given to her buy the clerk at the store with further directions to head to a local Ramada Inn about 45 minutes away.
When she arrived there the desk clerk was waiting for her with an envelope with a hotel room key and was shown to her room–in the room there were 2 dozen roses that I had used to put a path of petals to the Jacuzzi in the suite for her to take a bath, where I had laid out bath salts, incense she loved, and scented candles with instructions to take a bath and be ready to be picked up at 8pm…she was then picked up by town car and taken to her favorite sushi restaurant nearby where I was waiting. When she arrived she had tears in her eyes and was so happy by the amount of effort I had put in to making her feel like a queen that she had no idea what was next.
What she did not know was that my friends where in the room next door to hers and had instructions to hang balloons in the entrance way of the room with a box attached to it, with the ring I had purchased.
After dinner we headed back to the hotel room and when she entered the room and saw all our friends that were close to us, including some she did not even know where in town, she could not stop crying…as she walked up to them they all parted revealing the balloons with the box attached to it. When she went over to the box I tapped her on her shoulder and went down on 1 knee and proposed. When she said yes, it made the 4 weeks of planning this event all the more special.
