A Humane Proposal Idea
This one will only work if you the person you are going to propose to is an animal lover, specifically a dog lover. Start by planting the suggestion that for the holidays (Christmas, Hanukkah) that you and your girlfriend make a trip to the humane society during the week of Christmas or Hanukkah to drop off gifts/donations for the animals.
Several weeks before the holidays, sometime in mid-November, call the humane society and sponsor a kennel. The price is very reasonable only about $75 for two months. When you sponsor a kennel a gold plaque is put on one of the kennels and you can put whatever engraving you want on the plaque. The plaque should read something like, “Hi may name is (dog’s name) and (your name) would like to know if you (girlfriend’s name) would marry him.”
Make sure you make a trip to the humane society a couple of days before you and your girlfriend go. This way you can find out specifically which kennel the plaque is on. The day you and you girlfriend go you can lead her to that specific kennel. While she is reading the plaque, get the ring ready, step behind her and get down on one knee. When she turns around she will see you there one one knee with the ring and all you need to do is wait for the answer.
