A Starry Night…

My husband and I met at the university where we were both working on our graduate degrees.  Our university has beautiful landscaped grounds with a large wooded area.  One night after an unassuming meal at a restaurant nearby, he suggested we walk through the university park as the weather was quite pleasant.  I was quite lost in the starry night, so you can imagine my surprise when he stalled at a wooden bench and bent down on one knee to propose!

Even more amazing, he remembered that I always wanted a sapphire-diamond setting in a white gold band.  The ring was absolutely gorgeous and exactly what I had always wanted.

It was not the typical proposal, nor was it what I had dreamed of as a little girl, but it was exactly what I wanted.  It meant so much to me that the location was so significant and that he demonstrated how much I meant to him by giving me a ring that I truly wanted, not a run-of-the-mill diamond ring.  We are both very unique, so it was very fitting that his proposal to me was, as well.
