Engagement Proposal at the London Eye (Millenium Wheel)

My engagement proposal idea was to take my girlfriend to the London Eye (Millenium Wheel) in London and propose at the top of the wheel. The expense of the trip was nothing in comparison to the uniqueness of the idea which my future wife loved so much.

She was thrilled that I had put in so much thought into the proposal and along with the fact that we were very much in love the answer could only have been one – and it was “Yes!”

Of course, tickets to the London Eye can be elusive at times due to its high popularity and so some planning ahead is certainly necessary. Also a bit of luck is needed on the weather front as due to England’s unpredictable weather, the views from the top of the wheel can either be magnificent or so covered in clouds that it is hard to make out many of the major landmarks at all.

I would also advise anyone contemplating such an idea to go in the evening once the sun has gone as this is when London truly comes to life – the lighting around the major landmarks is just fantastic. As engagement proposals should be a well thought through event, it is also good to make the evening memorable; perhaps by booking a table at an expensive restaurant, as we managed to.

With a bit of careful planning and thinking ahead, engagement proposals can be both memorable and get the right answer! A “yes!”
