Video Game Proposal
A friend of mine is a huge nerd and wanted to propose to his nerdy girlfriend in a highly nerdy fashion–for her birthday he had bought her a Game Cube and a copy of Animal Crossing. In the game you control a little character in a little town and you can talk and interact with all the other animals–the town center is where your house is and the town bulletin board.
He posted a message on her bulletin board asking her to marry him–it took almost TWO weeks for him to get an answer and he was really starting to get stressed out about it. FINALLY, he asks her how the game was…she said she hadn’t played it yet but she was planning on playing it that weekend.
So he waits out the weekend and asks her about it on Monday…she says it’s really fun and starts talking about all the fun stuff to do in the game and that she was in fact playing at that very moment. He took this moment to say “Oh yeah! You can check the bulletin board for really fun upcoming events!” So she goes to check it and the next thing you know she’s squealing in the phone and we’re laughing so hard together that she said yes…….ALMOST THREE WEEKS LATER!
